Outreach

At Saint Francis United Methodist Church, outreach is at the heart of who we are. Through ministries like Mental Health Connect, Inspired Sundays, Encounter the Holy, and our Community Garden, we seek to share God’s love in tangible, life-giving ways. We invite you to join us in this work, because true joy is found in serving one another and making a difference together.

Sacred Time in the Sanctuary

On the third Tuesday of each month from 6:30–7:00 pm, you are invited to gather in the sanctuary by candlelight for a quiet, contemplative time of silent prayer. This is a space to step away from the noise of everyday life, to breathe, reflect, and rest in the presence of God and with others. Come as you are, stay for as long as you need, and simply be still. All are invited. All are welcome.

"Be still, and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10

Mental Health Connect

Mental Health Support & Stigma-Free Community

SFUMC is proud to partner with Mental Health Connect, a collaborative of faith-based communities. Together, we provide support, resources, and education, improve access to mental health services, and work to remove the stigma surrounding mental health. We are committed to being a church where people can talk openly, find support, and be met with compassion. Check the church calendar for upcoming educational events and opportunities.

Inspired Sundays

inspired Sundays

Inspired Sundays are special, once-a-quarter worship experiences where the whole church puts faith into action together. We begin in the sanctuary with a song and prayer, then everyone—ages 5 to 105—heads out to participate in a hands-on service project or a meaningful community conversation.

These Sundays are designed to bring generations together, build connections, and live out our faith in practical ways. A staffed nursery is available for children ages 4 and under, so everyone in the family can be part of the day.
