Barb and Marnie discuss Children's Education at SFUMC

Children & Youth Ministry

At Saint Francis United Methodist Church, our children and youth ministries are all about belonging. In this short video, you’ll meet Marnie and Barb and get a glimpse of how we welcome kids and youth of all ages to learn, grow, build friendships, and have fun together. No matter where you are on your faith journey, you’re always welcome here.

Nursery

We offer a safe, loving, and staffed nursery for children ages 4 and under during Sunday morning worship, so parents and caregivers can relax and enjoy the service while their little ones are well cared for.

Faith Connect

Faith Connect

On Sunday mornings, kids in kindergarten through 6th grade start out in the sanctuary with everyone else for the Opening Song and the Children’s Message. Then they head off to Faith Connect, where they learn about Jesus through stories, games, crafts, and fun, hands-on activities. Once a month, instead of going to Faith Connect, kids stay with their families and the whole church works together on a service project—finding joyful ways to help others and share God’s love.

Faith Discovery

Faith Discovery

Our Confirmation ministry for 7th and 8th graders is a fun and meaningful journey of faith. Students grow together through games, conversations, service projects, and retreats while learning more about God, the church, and what it means to follow Jesus in their own lives. It’s a place to ask big questions, build friendships, and discover how faith connects to everyday life.

Youth

Our Youth Group for students in 6th through 12th grade meets on the first and third Sundays of each month at 11:00 a.m. We gather for connection, conversation, and we take part in service projects throughout the year.
